Hat off to you for finding your instrument and sticking with it! I found that mine (it was my first guitar, 15+ years back) took some significant setup (various different strings, adjustments, different pickup setups over the years) is still a valuable tool in my arsenal, even now that I play music more influenced by Elliott Smith, Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle, too many to list than trying to play metal because it was what my friends wanted to play. Mostly, they're people who, actually handed said guitar, couldn't make it sound good and/or wouldn't have the patience to. I'm glad you're loving your BC Rich! Unfortunately, some revel in talking down about guitars they don't/haven't played. I did write "ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE" on a bit of tape, and "This machine kills fascists", to add to the visual aesthetic. I'm not a metal guitarist, though I draw from all genres and refuse to disown any (so I'm pretentious and/or eclectic), and I still revisit my old Mick Thompson signature Warlock, sometimes, when the sound needed calls for it.
